Familia Durigutti

Familia Durigutti wines are made by brothers Hector and Pablo Durigutti. Both gentlemen are trained in viticulture and enology and have spent extensive time training in Italy with some of the most prestigious estates of that country. Hector first became known for his work with Altos Las Hormigas. He was one of the original, founding partners and the winery’s first winemaker during their early success and launch in the U.S. Their line of products currently include a Malbec Clásico, Bonarda and a fine Reserva Malbec.

2004 Durigutti Malbec Clasico

Best Buy, 88 points, Wine Enthusiast Magazine, 2003 vintage

88 points, Wine & Spirits Magazine, 2003 vintage.

88 points, Wine News, "Warm aromas of mulberry and cedar box. Tart flavors of just-picked strawberry and crushed rose petals. Tries to sweeten up a bit in the finish" - 2004 Vintage

2004 Durigutti Bonarda
89 Points, Best Buy, Wine Enthusiast. "One of the best Bonardas we have ever tasted!"

Dallas Morning News, "Bonarda, an Italian grape, is a major player in Argentina. Durigutti makes it big and lush with spicy, blueberry, blackberry aromas and flavors, bursting ripe and round in the mouth and finishing with smooth tannins. In a word, yummy. Try it with a juicy burger with all the trimmings."

2003 Durigutti Malbec Reserva
90 Points, Wine Enthusiast

"Violet in color, with persistent, potent aromas of mint, marzipan and black cherry. This is not your run-of-the-mill soft Malbec; on the contrary, it's peppered with piercing acidity. which yields a can't miss freshness. Flavorwise, we're talking zesty boysenberry and raspberry."
