Tierras Guindas
A centuries old winemaking production steeped in tradition, the Bodegas Frontaura winery was purchased in 1996 by Ulpiano Gonzalez and Camino Pardo, a husband and wife duo who worked in agribusiness for years before their purchase.
Now completely focused on showcasing the 100% native varieties from D.O. Rueda, D.O. Toro, and D.O. Ribera del Duero, Ulpiano and Camino present the Tierras Guindas wines as their most modern production from the Castile y Leon region in Northwestern Spain.

The bright, fresh, single varietal Tierras Guindas wines utilize D.O. specific fruit all from Bodegas Frontaura vineyards. Speaking to the D.O. characteristics of each vineyard property, winemaker Juan Martin Hinojal believes the "quality of the soil, rich in rocks and stones trapping the heat and acting as a thermostat, provides the possibility to produce wine with an outstanding quality and a characteristic personality".

The new and futuristic winemaking facility, designed by lauded Spanish architect, Carlos Ferrater, is located outside of the historic town of Toro, Spain. The winery combines traditional gravity-flow methods of production with forward thinking practices including real-time weather monitoring of all their D.O. properties to allow them to best manage vineyard practices.
