88 Casa Rivas 2005 Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon. "Crusty but also perfumed on the bouquet, and then quite snappy and a little edgy in the mouth. Red fruit is the dominant flavor component and there are accents of coconut, olive and toast. It's composed and flavorful."

88 Marchiori and Barraud 2007 Malbec (Perdriel). "For a tough, cool vintage, this wine displays lush qualities and depth bordering on jamminess. Flavors of baked plums and cassis rest on a plump, soft palate with little tannic bite."

88 Carlos Basso 2007 Reservado Malbec "A well made Malbec that should please almost any fan of red wine. The nose is concentrated and full of black fruit, so it delivers what you'd expect. The mouth-feel is balanced, with medium weight and easy tannins. Black-fruit tastes of all types make for a solid flavor profile, and the finish offers mocha and cleansing acidity."

Fresh lime citrus and wildflower honey on the palate with balanced minerality and a touch flintiness. This Semillón will go well with a variety of light dishes that compliment its delicacy. A perfect wine for springtime menus.

2005 Durigutti Malbec Reserva, Mendoza. "Bright ruby-red. Complex, soil-driven aromas of blackberry, spices, licorice and fresh herbs; perfumed and enticing. Then juicy and intense in the mouth, with a crushed cassis flavor complicated by licorice and violet. A densely packed wine that's long on personality. Finishes with big, broad, dusty tannins and impressive lingering sweetness. An outstanding value." (International Wine Cellar, Jan 2009).
